Our friends at 49 and Market have been releasing zipper project bags with their latest collections! These beautiful Project Totes are just right for storing crafty supplies or even using for travel. Click HERE for each of these Project Totes ($14.99).

Ever since the Charcoal bag arrived, Kellie has been thinking it would be fun to try adding some color. She passed on the idea to Penny and the rest, as they say, is history!

Penny used her Copic Markers to color selected elements on the bag, and look how they stand out! They almost look 3D!

We can’t believe how this beautiful bag is transformed by the addition of simple Copic coloring. Wow!

Penny recommends placing the liner outside the bag so that the color doesn’t bleed through. She also shared tips for ensuring that it doesn’t soak through to the other side while you’re working. We love how the bag looks so far!

But wait…there’s more!

The 49 and Market Color Swatch Charcoal collection has several papers that are just right for Copic coloring. Take a look at how Penny was inspired to add a bit of color to these butterflies. So pretty!

Penny also colored some flowers from the Simple Vintage Essentials Botanical Bits! They start out black and white but are brought to life with colors. These beautifully colored elements would be perfect on a card or on a scrapbook page to match the colors of a heritage photo.

Our thanks to Penny for this out-of-the-box wonderful Copic coloring demo! The creative possibilites are endless.
